Antusiasme masyarakat Sumatera Utara terhadap Program Mudik Gratis Lebaran 2024 yang diselenggarakan oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Utara (Pemprov Sumut) mencapai puncaknya. Loket pendaftaran dan pengambilan tiket mudik gratis Pemprov Sumut resmi ditutup setelah kuota 2500 seat terpenuhi, pada Jumat (22/3/24). Para calon pemudik bahkan telah mengantongi tiket mudik gratis untuk pulang kampung.
Dari distribusi tiket yang terperinci, terlihat bahwa berbagai daerah di Sumut mendapat alokasi tiket. Mulai dari Gunung Tua dengan 270 tiket, Padangsidimpuan 495 tiket, Panyabungan 495 tiket, Rantauparapat 450 tiket, hingga Salak dengan 75 tiket. “Program ini disambut gembira oleh masyarakat, sebagai alternatif transportasi yang ekonomis dan membantu menghemat biaya perjalanan pulang kampung,” ujar Kepala Dinas Perhubungan Sumut, Agustinus Panjaitan.
Salah satu calon pemudik, Ristiani (48), merasa senang atas program ini. Dengan mendaftar secara online, ia berhasil memperoleh tiket mudik gratis untuk pulang ke Kotapinang dan menghemat biaya perjalanan yang lumayan besar. “Lumayan berhemat, apalagi kalau berangkatnya satu keluarga, sangat terbantu sekali,” ujarnya.
Tidak hanya Ristiani, Ani Safitri (19) juga merasa senang atas program ini. Sebagai mahasiswa, ia mengaku bahwa program mudik gratis ini sangat membantu mengurangi beban biaya transportasi pulang kampung. “Ngirit, jadi dana ongkos pulkam bisa dialihkan untuk kebutuhan lain, seperti membeli baju lebaran,” ungkapnya.
Dukungan dan antusiasme masyarakat terhadap Program Mudik Gratis Lebaran ini merupakan hal yang positif. Agustinus Panjaitan menjelaskan, program ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk memberikan kenyamanan kepada masyarakat selama perjalanan mudik, tetapi juga sebagai langkah preventif untuk mengurangi tingkat kecelakaan, kemacetan, serta mengantisipasi lonjakan inflasi di hari besar keagamaan.
Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi yang berkelanjutan untuk membantu masyarakat yang membutuhkan transportasi pulang kampung setiap tahunnya. Dengan tersedianya 65 unit bus dengan total 2500 seat, Dishub Sumut berharap kuota ini dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal oleh masyarakat, sehingga tidak ada yang terbuang sia-sia.
